Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Compound Labs (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, what we do with it, and the choices you have. If you have a question about it, email hello@compoundlabs.cc.
1. What we collect
When you send a request through our order form, we receive what you type into it: a description of the data you need, what it's for, format and volume, whether it needs to be exclusive, your deadline, your budget range, any sources or data types you want excluded, your name, your work email and your company.
When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
Like most websites, the server that hosts this site may record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.
2. What we don't collect
This site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts. Its fonts, images and video are served from our own server, so browsing the site doesn't send your information to third parties.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your request and prepare a sourcing plan and quote.
- To carry out and manage an order, or a data purchase from you, if we work together.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Confidentiality of requests
We treat the details of your request as confidential. We don't tell data owners who you are or what you're buying unless you decide to tell them. If you want an NDA before you share a spec, ask and we'll sign one first.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we need to run the site and handle email, and only for that purpose:
- Resend, which emails order form submissions to us.
- Amazon Web Services, which handles our email.
- The provider that hosts our web server.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep request details and correspondence for as long as we need them to respond to you, to work with you, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. We keep server logs for a limited period for security. After that, we delete the information.
7. Where it's processed
Our service providers may process information outside the country where you live.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email hello@compoundlabs.cc and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
This site is for businesses. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
